Hi, Love your post about “back to school” above. I always liked wearing the new clothes and having everything new down to the underwear. Anyway, I digress. I, too, am a huge Ruth McDowell fan. I was going to sign up for her class at Asilomar in 2008, but they filled up before I decided I could commit. In the meantime, I’m working on a giant agapanthus quilt using her technique. I hope to have it done by the end of the year. Do you have her brand new book? do one of the small projects and you’ll get it. It seems complicated, but when you actually start cutting the templates and matching the pieces it all comes together. There is a certain rhythm you’ll get into with that kind of piecing. Yay my first comment! Not that I didn’t shamelessly beg you to come by or anything. I’ll post my own quilts as soon as possible but until then (September?) you may be subjected to merely quilt related ramblings.
